Foothills Alliance Church

March 13, 2020

    Hello Foothills family!

After prayerful consideration, this weekend we will only be having our Saturday service. This service will be streamed and available online for those who normally attend Sunday services.

Even though our Saturday service is still taking place, we are encouraging people to engage with us online instead of coming to our church. You can watch online at www.foothillsalliance.tv.

Yesterday, Alberta Health Services asked organizations to cancel any event where more than 250 people gather, to help prevent the spread of COVID-19. While places of worship were excluded, we believe it is important to support our health officials in minimizing the potential spread of COVID-19. Since we have the ability to stream our services online, we are encouraging people to engage with us this way until further notice.

We have been prayerfully strategizing how to best support our church family and carry on our ministries through this pandemic. While we’re following the province’s recommendation for “social distancing,” we will not be socially disconnecting with our congregation.

There are a number of ways to connect with us online during the weekend. Along with watching our services online, you can also join our church-wide chat room. This chat room is located to the right of our live video. Simply click the chat button in the bottom right corner of the video and leave a message.

You can also give online by visiting our website at: www.foothillsalliance.com/give.

While there’s been mass coverage on COVID-19, it’s important you get the latest information from credible sources. For updates, visit Alberta Health Services. We will also be creating a website with updates, videos and other information.

For many, this pandemic has caused a great deal of anxiety and fear. But we know that God calls us not to fear. He is alive, and he reigns over all situations that we face. It is our prayer that you would feel peace, and that you would rest in his presence.

Thank you for your grace and understanding as we navigate the complexities of this pandemic. We covet your prayers, especially for those most vulnerable.
