New Leader and New Ventures Implementer
Karissa joined the Foothills staff team January 2025 as a New Leader and New Ventures Implementer in partnership with the Western Canadian District of the Alliance Canada. New Ventures exists to start new and innovative expressions of the church that will reach new people with the gospel of Jesus.
Karissa grew up in South America where her parents were international workers with The Alliance Canada. In 2015, Karissa was sent out by The Alliance Canada as an international worker to Heidelberg, Germany where she served on the lead team pioneering a ministry focused on discipleship training, leadership development, planting missional communities, and fanning the flame of unity and prayer in the city.
Karissa moved back to Calgary in 2022 where she met her now husband, Dan Delamont. Karissa loves to create spaces of connection and belonging, and to come alongside people in the dreams God is giving them. She is also a big fan of travel, beautiful cafés, hot bean bags, and belly laughs with friends.
