Foothills Kids partners with parents as they disciple their children and guide them in their faith journey. Our desire is for every child to know they are deeply loved by Jesus, understand their identity and purpose in Him and grow into a lifelong follower of Christ.
Awana is one of the ways we support families in that mission. Through age-appropriate discipleship materials and Scripture memorization, children are encouraged to engage with God’s Word in a regular and meaningful way. Each child works through a handbook designed to help families continue faith conversations and practice Biblical truths together at home.
Awana is also a place where kids can build friendships, enjoy exciting games, be recognized for their accomplishments and connect with caring leaders who encourage their spiritual growth. The name Awana stands for “Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed” and comes from 2 Timothy 2:15.
Classes are offered for children ages 3 through Grade 12 on Wednesdays from 6pm–7:45 pm, September through May.
At Foothills, we see Awana as part of our larger vision for midweek discipleship for the whole family. To register, families must attend Foothills and one adult is asked to serve weekly in Awana as part of this shared commitment to investing in the next generation.

We desire for Awana at Foothills to be part of our larger vision of mid-week discipleship opportunities for the entire family. To be registered your family must attend Foothills and an adult must sign up to volunteer weekly in Awana.
The registration fee includes uniforms, books, awards and program materials. Clubs are $120 per child with a $20 discount if your child already has a uniform. Trek is $100.

Using a combination of stories, crafts and other activities, children have a great time where fun and learning God’s Word go hand-in-hand. Covering both Old and New Testaments, lessons focus on the characteristics of God and the core truth that God is Creator, helping Cubbies grow in their respect for God.
Sparks learn God’s love and the foundation of His plan for salvation. By studying the major characters of the Old and New Testaments, Sparks begin to see how the entire Bible fits together in chronological order and God’s amazing plan for them and to redeem all things.
T&T kids will explore some of the fundamental doctrines of Christianity! They will spend time learning about the character and nature of God, the structure and sequence of the Bible, the redemption narrative and key discipleship practices! Each handbook section includes an introductory activity, a Bible study, a prayer section guiding them on how to specifically pray for different countries in the world and optional extra credit opportunities to dive deeper in their Scripture memory and study of God’s Word.
Trek will lead your students to dive deep into Scripture so that they can learn to own their faith and discover what they actually believe. They start their evening doing a small group Bible study, then they will join Youth Group at 7pm.
