Freedom in Forgiveness

As we draw to the close of the current year, we also come to the conclusion of our teaching and consideration of Matthew 18. Over past weeks, Jesus has taught us about pride, power, purpose and relational problems in the church. This week we consider life in God’s kingdom when it comes to pardon and forgiveness.

As Canadians, we are known for continually saying ‘Sorry’ and offering apology for any inconvenience we may cause another person, no matter how trivial it may be. Truly learning to be ‘sorry’ is a whole other issue that we will unpack from God’s perspective, and ours, this weekend.

There’s no better way to start 2025 than with a ‘clean slate,’ free from all spiritual and emotional indebtedness. Come, let’s learn together this Sunday through the teaching of God’s Word. See you Sunday. Bring some family and a friend!
