Our Short-Term Missions ministry exists to partner with God’s work around the world by serving alongside our international workers and local ministries. Rooted in the vision of seeing lives transformed by the gospel, we value prayerful dependence, cultural humility, and practical service. Upcoming 2026 opportunities include reconnecting with workers in Central Asia, supporting relational and aid partnerships in North Africa, joining GAiN in Paraguay for family-friendly projects in water and food security, and assisting with literacy, youth outreach, and discipleship in Cameroon. Each trip is an opportunity to embody Christ’s love, strengthen the global church, and grow as disciples through service.
Applications for our upcoming 2026 Short-Term Missions Trips will be opening fall/winter 2025.
Alliance work teams serve around the world, combining faith with practical service; showing the love of Jesus not only through their prayer and spiritual impact but also through hard work and productive effort.
At Foothills we recognize the importance of Short-Term Missions (STM) opportunities that facilitate personal connection with our workers in the field and provide valuable opportunities to:
Serve our International workers and their churches overseas.
Receive a life-changing experience in a cross-cultural setting.
Testify to these experiences and expand the awareness of missions within our church.
Encourage and inspire our emerging generations to pursue a career as an International Worker.
Closing the loop in our 2020 Trip that was cancelled due to COVID, Carla Olsen-Draper and Jen Lambert will be visiting our Alliance international workers to serve alongside their ministry for approximately two weeks in Spring-Summer 2026.
Our Alliance international workers in North Africa have requested a small team of young adults in November 2026. This team will assist with relational connections among the locals and serve in various ways through local aid organization partnerships.
This trip is open to adults and families, as our Foothills Family International Worker, Stephanie McDonald, leads a trip with GAiN (Global Aid Network)—the humanitarian arm of Power To Change. Departure dates will be publicized soon, and service opportunities may include water projects, food security, and helping families escape the cycle of poverty.
Our Foothills Family International Worker, Sky Bell, has requested a small team to assist with language and literacy work, youth and children’s outreach, ministry to young adult men, and general upkeep to the property. Departure dates are flexible and can be determined by the team members in collaboration with the partner organization.
There are two categories of International Workers who are supported by Foothills:
First, those who are sent by The Alliance Canada as career workers to the least reached people groups around the world.
Second, our Foothills Family, which includes members of Foothills who are supported in various ventures, through various ministries and organizations.
