Friday Dec 2
This season can be a time of wonder and joy, but it can get pretty busy too! Halls to be decked, apparel to be donned, yules to be…tided? It’s so easy to let the entire month of December pass by and totally forget why we celebrate Christmas. So, to help us remember Christ this Christmas, we’re hosting an event called “Gingerbread Bash!” This is a fun and interactive experience designed for the whole family! We’re going to build a gingerbread nativity while celebrating the birth of Jesus. More than that, you’ll hear the Christmas story from the Bible, sing songs, play games and discover the good news of Jesus through candy canes. It’s a truly sweet way for your family to celebrate the birth of Jesus!
Home Away From Home
Justice and Compassion
Each week Ukrainian evacuees are arriving in Calgary, fleeing the war back home, most knowing no one here and needing basic support to put down some roots. There is an immediate need for 'Housing Hosts' to offer a place to 'nest' for a month or two until our new Ukrainian friends can access the supports to live independently. In partnership with the Newcomer Centre, we are looking for church families to host Ukrainian evacuee families and persons for between 4-8 weeks in their homes in the coming months.

Surviving the Holidays
Justice and Compassion
Wondering how you will survive the weeks surrounding Christmas since the death of a loved one? Come join us as we gather together over a hot meal and spend some time learning how to deal with holiday challenges that come after a loss of a loved one. We’ll learn: How to deal with the many emotions you’ll face during the holidays; What to do about traditions and other coming changes; Helpful tips for surviving special events; How to discover hope for your future.
Justice and Compassion
Healing from separation or divorce is not easy. We want to come alongside those who find themselves on that journey. And so we’re going to be co-facilitating a DivorceCare group where people in separation and divorce find tools, teaching and support to help them deal with their pain and give them hope for the future. This 13-week Christ-centered ministry includes a video, group discussion and personal Bible study. They will hold their first gathering on Sep 11 at 6:30PM at Rockpointe Church – (Bowridge Site).
We look forward to this coming week and what Jesus has for us next! We are better together! See you this weekend!
Monday Dec 5
We believe that everyone should have the chance to explore faith, ask questions, and share their point of view. Alpha is an 8 week series exploring the Christian faith. Each session includes a video talk looking at a different question around faith that sparks good conversation around the table all the while enjoying a free meal! This is your opportunity to explore the Christian faith. No question is too simple, too tough or too out there. Try us!

Wednesday Dec 7
Becoming a member of a church is an important step in anyone’s journey of faith. If baptism is a public declaration of one’s commitment to faith, then membership is a public declaration of commitment to the church. It affirms what you believe, who you are and, to a certain extent, how you will live your life.
Prayer is a beautiful way for God’s people to connect as we lift our praise and petitions to our loving God. We would love for you to join us as we pray together this week. Come, spend time with us, and together we'll pray to our Father for our families, our neighbours and our world.
Our Next Generation Ministry consists of jr high (gr 6-8) and sr high (gr 9-12) students. Our ministry exists to help people grow as apprentices of Jesus, reflecting our church’s transforming journey. Our Youth Nights on Wednesday evenings are designed to help students grow as apprentices of Jesus through Bible teaching, worship & prayer, friendship and games (Acts 2:42).
Tiny Blessings is a parent and child play group for children ages zero to five. Tiny Blessings meets every Wednesday 9:30-11AM. We offer free play with a huge range of toys. This is a great way for parents to connect with and support one another on the parenting journey! All are welcome!
