What On Earth is the Spirit Doing?

We need to consider a question – “what on earth is the Spirit doing?” and consider the implications of this question for ourselves – as individuals and for the congregation or church of which we are part.Rightly we ask: how and in what ways am I being called to be part of what God is doing in the world? And how are we, together as a congregation, called to participate in the mission of God in the world? To this end, consider the church in Antioch and how they provide us with an example of precisely this: an intentional response to the calling and guidance of the Spirit. We can and must speak to the changing character of God’s work in the world and the implications that this has for us, individually and as a congregation: thus the question, what on earth is the Spirit doing in our time? And what might this mean for us as we see to participate in what God is doing.
