How to Pray

April 10 - 11 • Andrew Berg

How’s your prayer life?

What did you feel when you read that? Did you feel guilt? Did you feel indifference? Did you feel encouraged because you remembered to pray today? It’s a weighty question. It’s like being asked how your workouts are going when you haven’t been working out.

Prayer is an incredibly universal act. Everyone prays – even atheists pray! It might look different depending on someone’s culture or belief system, but everyone prays. Some see it as a way to change themselves for the better (mindfulness) and some see it as using it to make the world better.
Let’s reframe the question. No manipulation and no coercion. If you were to pray, what would you pray? Do you know why you would pray? What would you hope happened because you prayed? Do you know how to pray?

Luke 11 is about Jesus’ answer on how to pray. There’s a lot in it, but God has invited us to know him and respond to his love for us.

Join us this weekend to learn more about this. See you then!
