Foothills is a big place and it's easy to feel a little lost in the crowd. Life Groups are a way to get to know a small group of people who are on the same journey of faith. Life Groups take on a variety of shapes and forms, but all of them have one thing in common: they do life together.
Twice a year in September and January we help people new to Foothills MERGE into a Life Group at OnRamp. OnRamp is your opportunity to meet group leaders and find out your fit at Foothills. Contact Pastor Tim for more info about OnRamp.

What are Life Groups?
Life Groups are small groups of people who meet regularly for community, Bible study and mission. They are for adults of all ages, stages of life and spiritual maturity. Depending on the group, meetings are two to four times a month during the school year, which may scale back to once a month over the summer.
What happens at a Life Group meeting?
Each life group is unique, but many groups begin with casual social time and then transition to a discussion time on a specific topic. Sometimes it's on the sermon from the past weekend, sometimes it's a book study; it's up to the group! Prayer for each other is also included in the meeting. Each group decides how much time they devote to social time, discussion and prayer.
What if I don't like the group I visit?
Sometimes visiting a Life Group is like trying on shoes. You may have to try a couple of groups out to see which group is the best fit for you and your family. It's ok to visit multiple groups before deciding which one to join!
Do I have to know a lot about the Bible or Christianity to join a Life Group?
No! People who attend Life Groups are all at different levels on their spiritual journey. We don't expect you to know everything about the Bible - we're all growing and learning together. Life Groups are meant to be a safe place for you to explore God, the Bible and Christianity.
What about my kids?
We leave it up to each Life Group to arrange for childcare. Some groups pool together and pay for a sitter, some rotate childcare among the members and some leave it up to each person. If you are having trouble finding childcare, contact Pastor Tim and we'll do what we can to help!
