Dreams and Visions

September 12 - 13 • Ian Trigg

Over the past six months, we've lost a lot of famous people who made an impact in this world. In March of this year, Bill Withers died of heart failure. Most of us don't know who Bill was, but we know some of his music. Songs like "Ain't no sunshine" and "Just the two of us" easily are memorable, but his best and most enduring work is the classic "Lean on me." The song has been recorded dozens of times by some of the music industry's greatest artists. Why? I think it's the message. For, "Sometimes in our lives, we all have pain, we all have sorrow," we need to be able to say: "Lean on me, when you're not strong, and I'll be your friend, I'll help you carry on." The song ends with the admonition "Call Me" that is repeated 24 times! Do you have someone in your life to call? Are you someone others know they can call? We're going to focus on being connected in a physically-distant culture, and why it matters.

If you are able and interested to attend a live service Sunday morning, just read further in the email for how to register. If you're still joining us online, it will be great to connect again! Be blessed, and good luck getting this little song out of your mind! Sing it with joy!

Bless you and I can't wait to see you in church on a Sunday (when the time is right for you!)
